The purpose of life.

the purpose of life according to the hermit is happiness. so i think of everything that makes me happy. and this is the order of importance.

1. my relationship with my creator. this is a very tough subject because at times i feel i know him better than others. and to be honest it is tough to try to hold a one way conversation or to identify when He is trying to tell you something. on top of all that there are so many other things that take you away from acknowledging Him. stresses of being a parent, selfish desires, and the man made world that blinds our minds and deceives us. of course if He was truly #1 in my life, i would be a much more pleasant person to be around.

2. my sweet wife Bridget who helps me keep myself in check. she is such a great women, she raises our two beautiful children and teaches them so well. she makes our house a pleasant place to be. she reminds me when i need to correct my behavior. and her patience is so appreciated. i came home from work today and looked at her and thought how nice it was to have such an attractive wife who is also such a great mother and wife!!!

3. my son karson and daughter savanna. karson is such a sweet boy who wants to do whats right. he catches on to things quickly that involve physical effort. he likes to be wanted and feel loved. he is also very friendly and will try to be friends with everyone. i think karson possesses many Christlike attributes. i sure love my firstborn i am so proud of him. now savanna i would have to say that she has me wrapped around her finger. something about those little girls when they say Dada or lay their little head on your shoulder. she is definitely more of a busy body than karson. she is very hard to keep up with. girls are definitely harder than boys . buy they are sweeter. savanna already wants to sit on the toilet. she gets in the car and acts like she is driving. she rides karsons scooter. she takes off down the sidewalk and is at the end of the street if you just turn your head for a minute. what a challenge kids can be but what joy they bring into your life. the harder you work the greater the reward.

4. parents, if i was to describe in one word my mother and father it would be selfless. they truly have the gift of charity when it comes to others.

5. flyfishing and coyote hunting. especially when its with my family. just something about getting away from the man made way of life and hiking in to a favorite fishing spot where all you can hear is the sound of a river or the rise of a trout, or sound of a bird or the bugle of an elk. or the howl of a coyote. the smell of sage or pine just after it rains. i cant wait till my kids grow up so i can share these same moments with them! hunting, fishing, amen!

6. hard work there is nothing like the feeling of working your a_ _ off all day and looking back at all you have accomplished. hard work is a blessing and its reward or the good feeling you get from doing it is what makes it worth it.

7. sleep and that is what i am about to do. nothing like getting 7-8 hours a day it helps with your ability to think and work hard.
